1. About us

This website is run by Auto-Tune, 22a Pennybridge Industrial Estate, Ballymena, BT42 3HB (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at info@auto-tune.co.uk.

The website and customer portal are built, hosted and maintained for us by McIlroy Software Solutions Ltd. Your agreement for our services is with Auto-Tune only.

2. Your account

• Accounts are by invitation only and are for your own use.
• Keep your password safe and do not share your account with anyone else.
• Make sure the details you give us are accurate and up to date.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used in a way that puts the service, us or other customers at risk.

3. Files you upload

• You must only upload files read from a vehicle you own or have the owner’s permission to work on.
• You confirm the vehicle details you give us are correct. Work is carried out based on the information and files you provide.
• Do not upload anything harmful, unlawful or unrelated to the job.

4. How long we keep your files

ECU files you upload and tuned files we return are deleted automatically no later than 9 months after upload. The portal is not a backup service: please download and keep your own copy of every file you need. Once a file has been deleted it cannot be recovered, and we are not responsible for any loss caused by a file no longer being available.

5. Tuned files

• A tuned file is supplied for the single vehicle it was requested for. Do not resell, share or reuse it on any other vehicle.
• Writing a tuned file to a vehicle should only be done by a competent person using suitable equipment, with the vehicle in good mechanical condition.
• Modifying a vehicle can affect its insurance and warranty. You are responsible for telling your insurer about any modification.
• Any change to emissions equipment, or any change that makes a vehicle louder, may be illegal on public roads and can cause an MOT failure. Such work is supplied for off-road and track use only, and you are responsible for using your vehicle within the law.

6. Prices and payment

The price for each job is the one we agree with you or show in the portal. Payment is due on the terms we agree with you for that job.

7. Our responsibility to you

• We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill.
• Unless the law says otherwise, our total responsibility for any job is limited to the price you paid for that job.
• We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect vehicle details or files, by a file being written to a vehicle incorrectly or with unsuitable equipment, by an existing fault in the vehicle, or by using a file on a vehicle it was not supplied for.
• We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for loss of business or profit.
• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

8. Using this website

We work to keep the website available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free from errors. We may change or pause it to make improvements or repairs. You must not try to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with the website or use it for anything unlawful.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we will ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland deal with any dispute.
