- Email: info@auto-tune.co.uk
This website and its customer portal are built, hosted and maintained for us by McIlroy Software Solutions Ltd. They store and handle your information only on our instructions and only to run this service, as our data processor.

- The ECU files you upload, and the tuned files we send back to you.

Enquiries
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, vehicle and your message.
Security information
- Your IP address and browser details when you sign in, submit a form or upload a file. We use these to block spam and abuse, to limit repeated attempts, and to investigate problems.

5. Who we share it with
We only share your information with the companies that help us run this service, and only what each one needs:
- McIlroy Software Solutions Ltd builds, hosts and maintains the website and customer portal.
- Our cloud hosting provider stores accounts, job details and files.
- Our spam-protection service checks forms and sign-ins for automated abuse.
- Our email delivery service sends our emails, such as job updates and replies to enquiries.
If you would like the names of our other providers, email info@auto-tune.co.uk and we will tell you.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or a UK adequacy decision.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to the police or HMRC.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. We use only what the site needs to work:
- A secure sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. It cannot be read by scripts on the page.
- Your name and email saved in your browser, so the header can show you are signed in straight away. It is removed when you log out.
- Google reCAPTCHA, which may set its own cookies to tell people apart from automated spam.
- The map on our contact section only loads from Google Maps if you choose to show it. Google may set cookies once it has loaded.
- YouTube videos on some pages use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you play a video.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict or stop using it;
- object to how we use it; and
- ask for your information in a format you can give to someone else.
To use any of these rights, email info@auto-tune.co.uk. We will reply within one month. Some information, such as records we must keep for tax, may have to be kept even if you ask us to delete it, and we will tell you if that applies.
8. Keeping your information safe
Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored in secure data centres run by our cloud hosting provider. Only people who need it to do the work can see it. If something goes wrong that puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office when the law requires it.
9. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make an important change to this policy, we will show you the new version when you next sign in. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Our Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using our services.
